Home Repair Programs

City Programs Offer Home Repairs at No Cost to Residents
Posted on 04/15/2022

The city of Aurora is accepting applications from income-qualified homeowners needing assistance in making necessary health and safety repairs to their homes as part of the city's federally funded Community Development Block Grant Program from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. All programs are first-come, first-served until the funding is depleted.

The city’s housing rehabilitation programs include the Emergency Repair Program, which provides grants and/or loans to address urgent home system problems that are an immediate threat to the health and safety of the occupants, such as malfunctioning furnaces or water heaters and broken sewer and water main lines. Additional loans are available to correct conditions that pose a hazardous situation for the occupant’s health, safety or well-being. To apply, visit AuroraGov.org/HousingRehabilitationPrograms.
