The CCC harnesses the commitment of community members from across the region, enabling and inspiring them to work together to enhance the Canal’s ecological health and future vitality. This dedicated coalition measurably improves the Canal’s ecosystem and the region’s climate resilience by significantly enhancing the Conservancy’s ability to care for the Canal through stewardship programs such as trash, weed and brush removals, tree plantings and other ecological restoration projects. The CCC is powered by trained youth and adult Corps Leaders, as well as individual and group volunteers.

Love Working with Kids and Changing Lives?

Aurora Community Connection is in search of energetic volunteers, with a passion for teaching, to work within our daily after-school program!

We empower kids K-12 by providing academic support, Monday through Thursday (3:30pm-5:30pm), with a focus on literacy, math, and homework assistance.

We ask that volunteer tutors commit to working within the program for at least one full session (February—May; June—July; and/or August—December) and for a minimum of 4 hours per week (in some combination). Please note that during the summer, tutoring will occur earlier in the day: Mon—Thurs, 10:00am to 1:30pm
