Purpose
To assist City Council in promoting the efficient and equitable development of oil and gas while protecting the city’s natural resources and local quality of life.
Qualifications
Five citizens, including up to two from areas most affected by oil and gas at the time of appointment; three industry representatives who are registered to vote in Colorado the company they work for must be registered with the COGCC, and the company must be actively exploring, drilling, and / or producing oil and / or gas in the City. And may include pipeline companies, rig companies and any company actively engaged in the oil and gas industry in the City. And three surface property owners. Qualified citizen candidates should be someone interested in the Oil and Gas Industry who has not been trained, worked or is currently working in the Oil and Gas Industry.
