The city of Aurora has 19 city parks with shelters that can be reserved during the months of April through mid-October.
Reserving a Shelter
Shelter reservations for 2024 open on Monday, Jan. 1.
Reservations can be made online up to seven days before the requested shelter rental date. If a shelter has not been reserved seven days prior to the desired date, access to the shelter will be first come, first served.
Shelters are available to reserve for exclusive use on weekends and gives exclusive use of the rental facilities for one day from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Reserving a park shelter does not give you exclusive access to the park, the playground, or other park amenities. Ball fields and softball diamonds are not included with your shelter rental. Please respect other park patrons using these public spaces.
Drop-in Shelter Use Info
The 19 reservable park shelters are available on a first come, first served basis use during the weekdays and holidays during park hours: 5 a.m. to 11 p.m.
All other community park shelters are available on a first come, first served basis during park hours: 5 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Blackout Dates
Please note that shelters are available on a first-come, first-serve basis only during the following blackout dates:
- Friday, June 28-Sunday, July 7
- Saturday, Aug. 17
