Shelter Rentals

The city of Aurora has 19 city parks with shelters that can be reserved during the months of April through mid-October (list below). Shelter reservations for 2023 open on Monday, Feb. 6. Reserving a park shelter guarantees your exclusive use of the shelter for one day from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Please note that shelters are available on a first-come, first-serve basis only during the following blackout dates:
-Sunday, June 25-Wednesday, July 5
-Saturday, Aug. 19

Reserving a park shelter does not give you exclusive access to the park, the playground, or other park amenities. Ball fields and softball diamonds are not included with your shelter rental. Please respect other park patrons using these public spaces.

Reservations are taken online up to seven days prior to the shelter rental date. For questions or more information on park shelters, please call 303.739.7213.

All other park shelters are available on a first come, first served basis during park hours: 5 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Park Noise: Be Considerate
City of Aurora code (Sec. 146-1802) limits residential sound levels to 55 decibels during the day, which, for example, is the sound of a normal conversation. After 9 p.m., the level drops to 45 decibels. Please be considerate of park neighbors and other park users by keeping your music and voices to a reasonable level.
