The Veterans Affairs Commission meets in the Eagle Room, 4th Floor, 15151 E. Alameda Parkway on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 6 p.m.However, Due to the current COVID-19 situation, meetings are held virtually. Purpose
To advise city council as to the concerns of veterans relating to transportation, housing, employment and other areas affecting veterans in the city. Make recommendations to city council of solutions to these issues and concerns. Serve as a source of information regarding resources and services available to veterans. Exercise other powers and duties as may be assigned by city council.
Qualifications
Must be an Aurora resident, registered voter and honorably discharged from the United States Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Space Force or Coast Guard.

Number of members: 11 voting members and 1 non-voting alternate member
