The Aurora4Biz customer portal provides a place to upload plans, pay for select permits, review and comment on development projects, apply and renew select licenses, and other online services related to building, planning and development.

The city launched a new customer service portal, DevPortal.AuroraGov.org, which currently includes:

• Land Review Services processes like licenses and easements
• Development application reviews, minor amendments and civil plan applications and reviews
• Registering for neighborhood and community groups
• Scheduling pre-application meetings
• Small cell and fiber license applications
• Aurora Water floodplain development permits
• Temporary use permits
• Temporary sign permits
• Film permits
• Arborist license application and renewal
• Donation bin permits
• Block party permits
• Online transport permits
• Master and preliminary drainage
  
  DevPortal.AuroraGov.org will be offline from 6 p.m. the night prior to new services launching until the morning of the day of launch.
  
  

The city of Aurora’s commercial business online services portals, Aurora4Biz and DevPortal.AuroraGov.org, provide unified payment services for permits, development-related fees and other payment needs. We want to remind everyone who pays fees and permits that this secured site is used for electronic payments. Checks can still be delivered in person to the Aurora Municipal Center.

It is important to note that it is not the city’s practice to ask a customer to make payment that would deviate from the secured site, including direct payment options such as bank or wire transfers. Please contact staff directly if you have any questions.

Please note: Development application reviews and minor amendments (existing and in-flight applications) are now visible on the new customer portal at DevPortal.AuroraGov.org as of July 11. Development application reviews are no longer accessible on Aurora4Biz.

Please note: Starting Sept. 19, 2025, existing and in-flight applications for drainage and paving services will be handled through the new customer portal at DevPortal.AuroraGov.org. Drainage and paving folders will no longer be accessible on Aurora4Biz as of Sept. 19. As a reminder, new civil plans are now handled through the new customer portal at DevPortal.AuroraGov.org as of July 11. In-flight civil plans will be made visible on the new customer portal to avoid interrupting the existing workflow. In-flight applications will follow the existing process to completion. As of July 11, in-flight applications are no longer accessible on Aurora4Biz.

Use this online payment system to pay fees associated with development, building and planning, including development applications, water/sewer taps, civil plans, public improvement, neighborhood service and similar. This system is also used to pay fees related to code enforcement violations.
