One of the City Council's goals is to ensure that every young person in Aurora will have access to fundamental resources they needs to succeed. Aurora has many options for youth through classes, programs and resources. By developing quality parks, recreation, libraries, natural areas and open space, Aurora provides a superior quality of life for its residents and their families.

Recreation & Sports

Camps:
During school breaks, the city offers plenty of camp opportunities to learn new skills and make new friends.

Recreation Guide:
From cooking classes to sports leagues, there are plenty of ways to have fun in Aurora.

Golf:
You are never too young to learn golf. It's great exercise and fun. And who knows? You may be the next golf prodigy.

Nature Programs:
Aurora has many wild places to explore! Learn about our native open spaces and the wildlife that co-exist with you.

Children's Theatre:
The Aurora Fox Arts Center offers youth drama classes year-round as well as summer theater productions.

Aurora Scholars:
A program sponsored by the City Council to reward Aurora students who make a difference in their community and schools


Police & Safety

911 Rules for Kids:
Teach your children the proper way to use 911.

Bicycle Safety:
The Aurora Police Department want you to be safe when riding your bike on city streets.

Car Seat Inspections:
Get your baby's car seat inspected for safety to be sure it is properly installed in your car. Check for event dates and times.

Kids Police District:
Learn tips about how to stay safe on the Internet and much more.

Police Explorers:
If you have been considering a career in law enforcement, now is your chance. Teens are encouraged to join.

Teen Court:
Teen Court is designed to educate youth about the judicial process. Defendants in Teen Court learn the importance of taking responsibility for their own actions as well as how their choices impact those around them.
