The Aurora Police Department Internal Affairs Bureau (IAB) is responsible for recording, registering, and conducting investigations relating to allegations of misconduct by members of the department.
The Internal Affairs Bureau is comprised of a group professional and experienced investigators hand selected for this important assignment. The Bureau is staffed by one Commander, one Lieutenant (Deputy Commander), two Sergeant Investigators, two Agent Investigators and one Administrative Technician.
In 2015 the Internal Affairs Bureau was moved from Police Headquarters to an off-site location to improve access and service to the community. Their offices are located at
6 Abilene Street.
