Pothole of the Month

Potholes are an inevitable side effect of Colorado winters. The city sponsors a "Pothole of the Month" contest from Nov. 1 through April 30 annually.

Pothole of the Month Contest Rules:

  2. You may enter as many times as you wish; however, the award is given to the first entry received reporting the largest pothole (see Contest Rules).

  3. Limit one winner per household per season.

  4. The pothole must be a true pothole (not a trench failure or uncovered cut) on a city of Aurora street. A pothole is defined in this contest as a circular hole less than 30 inches in diameter indicating the underlying surface has failed.
