Congratulations to the Opening & Closing Casts of the 2020 Recitals!
Aurora Dance Arts is proud to announce the casting for the Opening & Closing ensemble pieces for the 2020 Spring Dance Recitals! These pieces bring together students from all styles and levels in our dance program. The Opening & Closing are a unique opportunity in Aurora Dance Arts for creativity and comraderie. Casting is the decision of the director and choreographers and is final. Please click the link to the Cast Lists below to see who was cast for each dance! Each Cast List does also include the Rehearsal Schedule for each piece.
*IMPORTANT - Please remember to check all of the cast lists, as many dancers are cast in more than one piece! You will need to call the Dance Office at 303.326.8308 or e-mail the director at mjchapma@auroragov.org by Wednesday, February 19, to accept/decline your part(s). If you accept your part(s) you will be required to be at all rehearsals in February-May, all Dress Rehearsals, and all Performances! Dancers are ONLY allowed ONE EXCUSED ABSENCE for any rehearsals for each individual piece. Any rehearsal absence must be pre-approved by Ms. Maggie and the Choreographers, except for a case of extreme illness. Small rehearsal schedule changes may be necessary and will only be made with approval of the director.
Students participating in the Opening and Closing of either Recital(s) may be required to pay for an additional costume(s). There will be one costume for the Opening & one costume for the Closing of the Pre Recital, and one costume for the Opening & one costume for the Closing of the Beg.-Adv Recital. If you are selected to be in more than one dance, you will need to pay for all costumes. Costume costs will be kept as minimal as possible and some costumes may be pulled from our existing ADA costume inventory or your child’s own existing wardrobe. However, all costumes do have to fit in with the themes of the recitals. The director will e-mail you by the end of March to inform you of any additional costume fees that are necessary for participation in the Opening/Closing. We would like to extend a big THANK YOU to all who auditioned and a huge CONGRATULATIONS to all who were cast! We cannot wait to get rehearsals started for creating these wonderful and inspiring pieces for our 2020 Spring Dance Recitals!
