The Planning, Design & Construction (PD&C) division of the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Department is responsible for new construction and renovations of parks, trails, recreation centers and medians. These projects are completed using general funds, shareback (open space tax) money and grants from counties, the State of Colorado and federal funds.

The City of Aurora Parks, Recreation, and Open Space (PROS) Department is initiating a process to evaluate and identify improvements and updates to the 2021 PROS Dedication & Development Criteria Manual (Manual) that guides the planning, design, construction, management, and operation of the city’s PROS sites and facilities.
