Emergency Alerts

Aurora transitioning to new emergency alert provider

The city of Aurora is in the process of transitioning its emergency alert system from CodeRED (OnSolve) to Rave Alert (Motorola). Anyone who previously signed up for CodeRED will automatically be moved to Rave Alert and will experience no interruption in receiving city alerts. However, if existing users wish to change the address or contact information provided to CodeRED, they will need to register again via Rave. A sign up link is available below.

Please note, the Rave sign up link goes to a page titled "Smart911." Smart911 is a Rave product.

Opt-in to receive alerts

The city of Aurora uses Rave Alert as its emergency notification provider and now is a great time to sign up in order to receive important, even life-saving, alerts sent directly to your phone and/or email.

In an emergency -- whether it is a hazardous material spill, severe weather, evacuation order or other critical incident -- receiving information in a timely manner is essential. But many people, such as those who no longer have landline phones, may not receive these notifications unless they opt in. To make sure you get the information you need, when you need it, click on the button below to sign up for alerts through Rave. You can choose to receive notifications via landline, cellphone, email, text message or a combination. These alerts can be specific to streets, neighborhoods or regions, so by providing an address, you will receive only those notifications that are most important to you.
