Expo Park - Pond Maintenance

Please note that certain sidewalks in Expo Park (see noted on the map below) will be closed.
Aurora Water will be doing maintenance work on the ponds - late 2021 - Spring 2022. The ponds
will be

High Line Canal North Trail Renovations

This priority project will construct nearly two miles of multi-use trail to close the gap between Colfax Avenue
and recent improvements constructed north of I-70. Major features include a new trail overpass to cross I-70
east of Tower Road and a new pedestrian bridge over the High Line Canal south of Smith Road. An enhanced
at-grade railroad crossing north of Smith Road will benefit cyclists and pedestrians. Building this priority
section of the trail will complete one of the final gaps in the 71-mile High Line Canal Trail system.

The project is currently in the design phase with construction anticipated to begin in Summer 2022.
Trail completion is expected in Spring 2023. For more information and ways to engage visit
the Engage Aurora page here.

The community will see numerous improvements to the locker rooms, restrooms, showers and guard office
along with cool new pool deck features including a splash pad with water features.
