Computer Use

Public computers, printing, Internet, wireless and software are available at all Aurora Public Library locations.

Printing
You can print from your computer by sending jobs to self-serve “print release station” next to a community printer. You must insert coins into the coin box to print any documents you sent to the print station. Copies are 10 cents each.

Mobile Printing
You can print from your home computer, smartphone, or tablet and pick up the documents at the library location of your choice. For additional instructions, visit our Mobile Printing page.

Computer by Reservation
Due to customer demand, most library computers can be reserved for 60 minute blocks of time depending upon the location and computer. You can reserve additional time if other reservations are not waiting.

Catalog-only Computers
Some computers are dedicated to searching the online library catalog. These do not require a library card or reservation.

Software Available and Uses
You cannot install or use personal software on our computers. You can use external storage devices. Our computers offer a filtered internet connection, Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint. Many computers also have a “learn to type” program.

The Internet at the Library
Pursuant to state and local laws, the Internet at the Aurora Public Library is filtered. Additional filtering is provided for Children’s computers.
