2025 Winter Quilt Sale

Aurora’s Quilt Bee supports local older adult community with annual Winter Quilt Sale
Posted on 12/01/2025
The city of Aurora’s Quilt Bee invites you to find the perfect one-of-a-kind gift for your loved ones at their annual Winter Quilt Sale, taking place Tuesday, Dec. 2 to Saturday, Dec. 6 at the Aurora Center for Active Adults, 30 Del Mar Circle.

Just like Santa’s elves, Aurora’s Quilt Bee works year-round to create one-of-a-kind patchwork creations to sell at their Spring and Winter quilt sales. Founded in 1995, this year marks the 30th anniversary of the volunteer-based Quilt Bee and the annual Winter Quilt Sale.

All proceeds from quilt sales go back to the Aurora Center for Active Adults donation fund. These funds are then used to purchase items to support the center or towards programs that benefit Aurora’s older adult community.

“We are the best kept secret in Aurora,” said Patty Hicks, who leads the Quilt Bee. “We put on display normally 300 to 400 quilts. We are busy women.”

Aurora’s Quilt Bee has high standards for each item they handstitch with love. Quilts are 100% cotton and are made from repurposed fabric that has been donated. If fabric doesn’t end up being part of a quilt it will get repurposed into something else, ensuring no piece of fabric goes to waste.

Check out a grand selection of handmade quilts, bags, table runners and more for yourself. There are items for all budgets, with some items as low as $5. Quilts range in price from $125 to $400, depending on their complexity and size.
