(Nov. 20, 2025) – The Aurora Police Department on Tuesday arrested a second suspect wanted in connection with a homicide that occurred in October in northwest Aurora.

Diego Jimenez, 26, of Aurora, was wanted on charges of second-degree murder stemming from a fatal shooting Oct. 24 near East 6th Avenue and Del Mar Circle. On Tuesday, investigators assigned to the Aurora police Fugitive Apprehension and Narcotics Unit developed information Jimenez was in Brighton.

The fugitive unit, with assistance from the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, responded to a residence in the 10700 block of Brighton Road and arrested Jimenez without incident. In addition to the murder charges, Jimenez also was arrested on outstanding warrants out of Weld County for aggravated motor vehicle theft and Boulder County for theft. Formal charges in the homicide investigation will be filed by the 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office.

The investigation is active and ongoing. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720.913.STOP (7867). Tipsters can remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.

Aurora Police Arrest 1 in Del Mar Circle Homicide, Seek Information About Second Suspect

(Oct. 31, 2025) – The Aurora Police Department is actively seeking the public’s help in locating a suspect wanted in connection with a homicide that occurred in northwest Aurora.

Twenty-six-year-old Diego Jimenez is wanted on charges of second-degree murder in the shooting of an adult male on Oct. 24. Officers were dispatched to the area of East 6th Avenue and Del Mar Circle just after 1 p.m., where they located an adult male laying in a front yard suffering from a single gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

The investigation revealed that Jimenez and the victim got into an altercation, at which time Jimenez shot the victim. Forty-one-year-old Sheena Fuentes was arrested for accessory due to her actions after the shooting.

Investigators are asking for the public’s help in finding Jimenez, who is wanted for second-degree murder and is outstanding.

Formal charges against Fuentes will be filed by the 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office. The victim’s identity will be released by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.
