
(Oct. 31, 2025) – The Aurora Police Department Major Crime Homicide Unit is seeking the community’s help with information about a suspect wanted in connection with a homicide that occurred last weekend in northwest Aurora.
Marcus Marcelles Harper McCray, 40, of Aurora, is wanted on an active warrant out of Adams District Court for first-degree murder after deliberation.
The warrant stems from about 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, when Aurora police patrol officers responded to a parking lot in the 1500 block of Macon Street for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they located a male victim with obvious gunshot wounds.
The victim, a 34-year-old Aurora man, was rushed to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries. He will be identified by the Adams County Coroner’s Office.
Anyone with any information about McCray or his location is asked to contact Major Crime Homicide Unit detectives through Metro Denver Crime Stoppers or by calling 911. McCray is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached by members of the community.
