Aurora Major Crime Unit Investigating Fatal Ursula Street Shooting

(May 22, 2025) – The Aurora Police Department Major Crime Homicide Unit is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Wednesday night in northwest Aurora.

About 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, Aurora police patrol officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 3100 block of Ursula Street. Once at the scene, officers located two male victims who had sustained gunshot wounds.

Officers provided first aid to the victims until medical responders arrived at the scene. One of the victims, an 18-year-old Wheat Ridge man, sustained life-threatening injuries and was rushed to a local hospital, where he later died. He will be identified by the Adams County Coroner’s Office.

The second victim, a 17-year-old Denver male, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to recover.

The circumstances leading up to the fatal shooting remain under investigation. There is no suspect information, and no arrests have been made.

The investigation is active and ongoing. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720.913.STOP (7867). Tipsters can remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
