Music

Classes and Camps
Playing an instrument is not just a fun hobby it can have numerous health benefits. Studies have shown that playing an instrument can reduce stress, boost creativity, enhance social connections, improving overall well-being. The benefits for children are even more profound. Early music literacy develops the regions of the brain that process complex math and science, not to mention the positive effects of music learning on language development and problem solving.

Exciting things are happening with our music program!

Meet our new keyboard and percussion instructor, Rozzie Mangette.

Drum group featuring Rozzie Mangette
Rozzie's philosophy is that music is important to learn because it has the ability to connect people since music is a language. We all experience music, but not all of us know how to read it or write it. Thus, teaching music allows people to learn this language on a deeper level expressing themselves in a way that words cannot. Students who are passionate about what they are learning, engaged in the content and having fun will be more likely to retain the information being taught.
