Internal Affairs Unit

The Aurora Police Department Internal Affairs Unit is responsible for recording, registering, and conducting investigations relating to allegations of misconduct by members of the department. Their offices are located at 6 Abilene Street

The Internal Affairs Unit is comprised of a group professional and experienced investigators hand selected for this important assignment. Commander Chad Cerinich leads the unit, which includes one lieutenant investigator, three sergeant investigators, two agent investigators, one civilian investigator, and one administrative technician.
