Effective Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2019 Aurora Fire Engine 17 was placed in service
AURORA, Colo. – On Tuesday, Aurora Fire Rescue (AFR) expanded by one engine company. Engine 17 will be based at Fire Station 15 in Murphy Creek awaiting the construction of Fire Station 17 approximately four miles north.
Station 15 is located at 1880 South Flatrock Trail in the Murphy Creek neighborhood. Station 17 will be constructed at North Robertsdale Street and East First Place.
Aurora Fire-Rescue is anticipating that Fire Station No. 17 will be built and occupied within the next several months. Until then, both Engine Co. 15 and Engine Co. 17 will be visible familiarizing themselves in and around the new neighborhoods, developments under construction and new streets. Additionally, they will be participating in the everyday efforts to provide safe, efficient and effective emergency response services to our residents and visitors to the City of Aurora on a 24-hour basis.
