Residential and business alarms are typically reported through alarm companies/services. Depending on what alarm service you use, the alarm services is responsible for notifying the local police department of any and all alarms that come in.

THE AURORA POLICE DEPARTMENT WILL NOT DISPATCH OFFICERS OUT TO ALARMS WITH ONLY ONE ZONE/ACITIVATION - with the exception of business between the hours of 2300 and 0500 (11 p.m. - 5 a.m.).

All alarms reported are aired out as information to officers in the district of the location. Officers will only be sent on alarms if 2 separate zones are activated at the location OR someone is on scene and requesting an officer to do a walk-thru with them.
