The city of Aurora’s Office of International and Immigrant Affairs (OIIA) is thrilled to announce the second event in the Innovation Unlimited 2026 series, a citywide business conference dedicated to supporting and promoting entrepreneurship in Aurora’s refugee and immigrant communities.
The new conference will focus on the local African community and is presented in collaboration with the African Chamber of Commerce Colorado USA (ACCCOUSA). The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, June 27, at APS-Professional Learning and Conference Center-PLCC, 15771 E. First Ave. Interested attendees can register here.
Supporting local businesses and entrepreneurship in the local immigrant and refugee communities is one of the core objectives of the city's Immigrant Integration Plan. The plan calls for information and training, economic integration and lowering barriers to entry for starting a business. In that spirit, “Innovation Unlimited 2026” will include panels and speakers covering topics such as how to start your own business, how to access capital to start and grow a business, how to do business with the government and how to thrive in an era of digital transformation. Additionally, the conference will include inspiring success stories and networking opportunities.
"We are honored to host the second conference of Innovation Unlimited 2026 with the African community,” said Ricardo Gambetta, manager of Aurora's Office of International and Immigrant Affairs. “This conference is a space to celebrate and uplift Aurora’s diverse business community, and it will cover a variety of topics to support current and future entrepreneurs.”
“Innovation Unlimited: African Business Conference” is hosted in collaboration with various local partners, including Alpine Bank, Global Chamber, Diversity Matters and Lucy Coffee House. Additionally, Aurora Mayor Mike Coffman will offer opening remarks.
Panels will feature local business owners, leaders and representatives of partner organizations that help build and grow businesses, including CEDS Finance, Colorado Enterprise Fund, the city of Aurora Licensing Division, the city’s Office of Planning and Business Development and Alpine Bank.
The Office of International and Immigrant Affairs will host a third Innovation Unlimited conference focused on Aurora’s Asian American and Pacific Islander community in the fall. For information on this and other events, follow OIIA’s Facebook page at Facebook.com/InternationalAurora.
