VACCINATION CLINICS

The Aurora Animal Shelter hosts quarterly vaccine clinics throughout the year. Our clinic offers a variety of vaccines for dogs and cats, microchips and Aurora pet licensing.

Unfortunately, the shelter no longer offers vaccination walk-ins. Vaccinations can only be done during the vaccine clinics.

We accept cash, check or card. Please be aware that a purchase of a pet license is required for City of Aurora residents who purchase a rabies vaccination.

*To receive a 3-year rabies vaccine, proof of previous rabies vaccine that is no more than 6 months expired is required.

CITY OF AURORA PET LICENSE

A pet license is required by law for all pets living within the Aurora city limits. A pet license can only be issued or renewed with proof of a current rabies vaccine. Pet licenses are available for purchase during the vaccine clinic. During the vaccination clinics, it is mandatory for Aurora residents to purchase a pet license for each pet receiving a rabies vaccination.

MICROCHIPS

$10 Microchips. Not only do we offer microchips during our clinics, but we allow walk-ins during regular business hours. However, we ask that you arrive no later than an hour before closing to ensure that our staff has plenty of time to gather your information, complete the transaction and implant the microchip before closing.

Remembering how often to vaccinate your pet and with what vaccines can be a challenge for most of us. However, the Aurora Animal Shelter has you covered! Below are the recommended schedules based on your pet's age.
