Summer of Imagination: Shared Stories

Summer of Imagination: Shared Stories kicks off May 30
Posted on 05/30/2023

Aurora Public Library invites residents to experience Summer of Imagination: Shared Stories, presented by Bellco Credit Union. Participants in the summer reading program receive a free book, while supplies last, as well as prizes during the summer when registered for Summer of Imagination beginning Tuesday, May 30.

After registering, participants can grab a BINGO-style story card from any Aurora Public Library branch and cross out a square after completing the listed activity. A story is complete when five squares in a row are crossed out, whether it is diagonal, top to bottom or left to right. Participants can then turn in their Story Card at any Aurora Public Library branch for a chance to win any of the exciting prizes! Raffle prizes will be drawn beginning Monday, Aug. 7.

“Summer reading programs have several benefits for students, not only helping with the summer learning loss but actually the whole school year by enhancing reading skills, comprehension, etc.,” said Library and Cultural Services Director Midori Clark. “Best of all, Summer of Imagination helps ignite a passion for reading and life-long learning.”

To register for Summer of Imagination, a library card is not needed. However, all libraries will offer library cards for those who would like to sign up. Participating in all the Summer of Imagination activities is free.
