Charter Review Ad Hoc Policy Committee

The Charter Review Ad Hoc Policy Committee has scheduled three public hearings to receive feedback from the public about specific proposals to change the City Charter, and about the City Charter in general. Hearings will be hybrid, with attendance at the Aurora Municipal Center's Paul Tauer City Council Chamber, and via remote participation at the following times:

  • 10 a.m. Saturday, March 18
  • 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 11
  • 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 23

More information on the proposals and how to attend the hearings, as well as a survey to provide feedback online, can be found at EngageAurora.org/CharterReview.

Goal

The purpose of the Charter Review Ad Hoc Policy Committee is to review and analyze the existing charter. The goal is to bring forward possible changes to update the Charter and to make recommendations for improvements with final outcomes to be presented to the voters for approval. This Committee will be seeking resident involvement in the form of public hearings.

Policy committee meetings will be held as a teleconference meeting. Please see the agenda for the meeting access information. All policy committee meetings are live-streamed at YouTube.com/TheAuroraChannel.
