Five-O Trailer

A New Way of Engagement:

APD’s commitment to a New Way of community engagement includes both traditional and non-traditional outreach initiatives. When it comes to youth engagement, we kicked things up a notch. Meet our new FIVE-O activity trailer.

The name: FIVE-O is an acronym for Fun Interactive Vehicle for Engagement Opportunity

The FIVE-O was created by Officer Virgil Majors from APD’s Community Relations Section.

The basics:
the FIVE-O is a 22-foot, custom-built, gaming and community resource trailer providing youth and officers with an opportunity to engage in fun, safe spaces while building new relationships.

FIVE-O activities include: video games, trivia, and arts/crafts along with snacks and giveaway items. Free community resource also available to engage youth in safe/healthy activities.
Funding for the FIVE-O provided by Daniel’s Fund.

The experience:

The cool part: the FIVE-O activity trailer is a FREE community resource! Planning a community event/block party – we’d like to be there. School field trips – yup, we can do those too. We’re open to other ideas, too! The FIVE-O will also host surprise pop ups events at parks throughout Aurora this summer.
