Police services such as records,
front desk crime reporting (crimes without suspect information for
example), and police property are available at Police Headquarters. The
lobby is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. However, the front desk is
not staffed from 12 a.m. to 6 a.m. each night. An after-hours phone has
been installed that dials directly to dispatch that can be utilized when
the front desk is not staffed. Records and police property are not open

Police Headquarters
also houses the Office of the Chief of Police, and the Investigations
Bureau which investigates major crimes occurring throughout the
city. The Investigations Bureau consists of the Economic Crimes Unit,
Crime Lab, Crimes Against Children, Internet Crimes Against Children
Unit, Sex Crimes Unit and the Major Crimes/Homicide Unit.
Other important services that are located at Police Headquarters include the Victim Services Unit, the Crime Lab, Community Resources Section, and the Media Relations Unit.
Parking
Parking for Police Headquarters is on the south side of the building
east of the Aurora Central Library. The doors to the Front Lobby are
located between the Municipal Court building (pictured above with a
green dome) and the Aurora History Museum.
