Curbside Pickup





Step 1: Select Books and Materials
Place an item on hold online: Browse the online catalog, locate the desired item(s), and use the Place Hold button to place a hold. 
Please choose the branch where you intend to pick up your materials as the pickup location.

Step 2: Look for an eMail!
As soon as your items are ready for pickup, you will receive an email notification. Hours and locations for curbside services can be found here.

Step 3: Pick up Your Materials
 
- Arrive at the library during our hours, park your vehicle, and call the number posted on the sign. 
 - Have your library card number ready so that we can identify you.
 - Library staff will place your items on a marked table near the front of the building.
 - Once the staff member has re-entered the library, you may retrieve your items from the table.
 - As this is a contact-free process, please do not exit your vehicle until you have been instructed to do so.


Step 4: Enjoy Your Materials!
 - Your checkout receipt will list each item checked out, and its due date. 
 - Return your items to the bookdrop at any Aurora Public Library location.
 - We are no longer quarantining items, so all materials will be removed from your account upon their return. If you have any questions, please call 303.739.6628.

What locations are hosting Curbside Pickup?

All Aurora Public Library locations are offering Curbside Pickup.

When can I pick up my holds?
You'll receive an email when your items are ready to pickup. 

Pickup times are:
Monday - Friday: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. (all locations)
Saturday-Sunday: Noon - 4 p.m. (Mission Viejo location only) 


How many items can I check out at a time?
You may have up to 60 items checked out on your library card at any given time. You are limited to 30 DVDs at a time.

How long can I borrow these items?
Books, Audio Books, and CDs may be checked out for 3 weeks. DVDs are checked out for 1 week.

Can I return items at the curbside service table?
Please return ALL items in the book returns, and do not leave any items on the curbside service table. 
All returned items are subject to a 4 day quarantine and must not be mixed with items for checkout.

Are items still being quarantined?
Items returned are no longer being quarantined, and will be removed from your library card upon the return of the materials.  Should you have any concerns with your account, please contact us at 303.739.6630

Do I need my library card?
Yes, to pick up items you will need your library card number. If you do not know your library card number, we are happy to get you a temporary card that will allow you access to all of our virtual materials. Please email [email protected] with any requests.

What if I don't have a card?
Visit our Virtual Library Card page to get a card that will give you access to our digital collection of books, audiobooks, movies, music, and more!

What if I don't have a car?
When you get to the library, call the number on our poster and stand at least 6' away from the drop-off station. Once the staff member re-enters the library, you can retrieve the items from the table.

What if I don't have a cell phone?
When staff calls to let you know that your items are ready for pickup, make sure you tell them the specific time and date you'd like to come, and the make and color of your car. We'll keep an eye out for your arrival!
