Park & Open Space Permits

As we continue to take extra precautions with our community in mind, we will not be accepting or issuing park shelter reservations for the remainder of 2020. TUP’s that have been issued will be given a refund. Future approved and submitted TUP applications with events past this date will be reviewed and continuously assessed.

Aurora offers well-maintained parks, beautiful open space areas and two scenic reservoirs. A Park and Open Space permit is required, and a fee will be assessed, at any city-owned park, recreation area, open space site, trail or reservoir if the request is for commercial use, exclusive use, or if the proposed activity will impact other park users and/or general park operations. Click on the links below for more information and to submit requests.

Unsure what impacts your proposed event may have? For the success of your event, please contact us 30 days (at a minimum) in advance. Insurance may be required, as well as additional permits, so plan ahead and let us walk you through the process. We’re here to help! Email parkpermits@auroragov.org and provide a summary of your proposed event and desired location.
