The city of Aurora offers a variety of Outdoor Recreation opportunities. Find adventure on a rafting trip, learn a new skill in archery or discover the outdoors with fishing and hunting classes!

Family Archery (Ages 7 - Adult)

A perfect class for beginners or those looking to improve their skills. Class meets at the Beck Recreation Center before traveling out to the archery range for a morning of instruction and friendly competition.  Equipment is provided or bring your own.

Fly Fishing (Ages 14 - Adult)

Learn how to attract your next catch! Class includes a classroom session, a practice casting session, and a Saturday fishing trip.  Ages 16 and older must have a valid state fishing license.

Family Fishing (Ages 4 - Adult)
Get hooked on fishing!  Join us at the Beck Recreation Center for a 30 minute orientation before heading out to the Aurora Reservoir for some fishing fun.  Ages 16 and older must have a valid state fishing license.


Hunter Education (Ages 10 - Adult)
Receive your Hunter Education card from 
Colorado Parks and Wildlife for satisfactory completion of this course. Ages 11 and younger must have a parent in attendance.

Wilderness First Aid & CPR (Ages 12 - Adult)
Medical emergencies can happen anywhere. Learn how to respond to an emergency situation in a wilderness or remote location.

Canoe Trips (Ages 6 - Adult)
Enjoy a unique experience while floating through canyons, viewing wildlife, swimming under waterfalls, and enjoying a blend of easy whitewater and quiet paddling. No previous canoeing experience is required. All canoes and accessories are provided. Ages 6 - 15 must be accompanied by an adult. Trips conducted by
