The Aurora City Council is preparing to appoint a new council member to represent Ward II following the resignation of Nicole Johnston, and would like the community’s input on the applicants.

Six people have applied for consideration, and they answered questions submitted by the public at a Virtual Meet and Greet on June 16. Prior to their interviews with City Council on June 23, residents are able to provide their feedback on the candidates for council's consideration.

The applicants are Jessica Giammalvo, Robert Hamilton III, Luke Kodanko, Robert O’Riley, Dr. Ryan Ross and Steve Sundberg.

To provide feedback, view the candidates' applications, and watch video of the Virtual Meet and Greet, go to EngageAurora.org/Ward2Input. Feedback is being accepted through 5 p.m. Monday, June 21.

Following the public feedback, City Council will conduct interviews with the applicants on June 23 and is scheduled to make an appointment at the June 28 regular meeting, with the new council member taking office in July.
