The city of Aurora’s Snow Busters program pairs volunteers with people who live near them, have limited financial resources, are elderly or have a disability, and are incapable of shoveling after a snowfall. The volunteer only needs to commit to helping one person for one snow season, shoveling the resident’s sidewalk within 24 hours after a snowfall.
This is a great project for families, church groups, Boy Scouts and other groups to teach the value of lending a hand to a neighbor and to keep sidewalks safe.
It’s easy to volunteer! Apply online or call 303.739.7083 for more information.
