Eligible small to mid-sized businesses and nonprofits in Aurora were invited to apply for financial assistance from the city’s new Aurora Economic Resiliency (AER) Grant Program. The application and interest period has now closed.
The program will allocate at least $5 million in Arapahoe County CARES Program and Adams County CARES Program funds to support the resiliency of struggling businesses and nonprofits in Aurora while the community awaits vaccines and treatments for COVID-19.
Depending on the financial need, grants are available up to $30,000 for payroll and rent expenses for the upcoming winter months.
Overall Eligibility
The program was open to new applications and to those that previously qualified for funds through the earlier Aurora Economic Relief or Aurora Economic Recovery programs.
New applicants must have applied between Nov. 5 and 12. Applications had to be submitted by 11:59 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, to qualify for consideration.
Prior program applicants received an email with a link to complete a short interest form if they wish to be considered for this program. The form must have been completed by 11:59 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12.
