Aurora City Council meetings are held on scheduled Mondays at the Aurora Municipal Center, 15151 E. Alameda Parkway.
The formal city council meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. in the City Council Chamber. City council meetings are open to the public, and citizens are invited to be heard. For questions regarding city council meeting agendas and minutes, contact the City Clerk's Office at 303.739.7094 or cityclerk@auroragov.org.
The city invites anyone who desires to provide an opening invocation at the regular council meetings to submit his or her interest to the city. The invocation is a nonsectarian pronouncement of simple values intended to solemnize the occasion of the meeting. The invocations shall not proselytize or advance any one faith or belief, or disparage any other; nor shall invocations establish a particular religion as the sanctioned or official religion of the council. The formal council meeting airs live at 7:30 p.m. on Aurora’s community television station, KACT-TV cable channel 8, and repeats several times throughout the week. Meetings can also be seen live or on-demand at AuroraTV.org.
