Start a New Business

Pointing the way

You’ve got a concept as an aspiring entrepreneur. It can be very exciting and, yet, sometimes overwhelming. We have specific programs designed to assist you in launching your endeavor. Your first step is to become knowledgeable about the basics of running your own business.

If you’re a first-time Colorado business owner, it is important to learn about choosing a legal structure and tax-related issues, licensing, business planning, marketing, financing, and the small business resources that are designed to set you up for success.

We offer several basic workshops regularly at no or low cost and require that you attend two basic start-up workshops prior to meeting with a business consultant. In fact, the workshops prepare you to work more effectively one-on-one with our consultants.
