Make & Learn

Welcome to Make & Learn! In this program, our librarians will be sharing easy-to-make games and activities that support cognitive development and practicing early literacy skills. In this video, Miss Sara shares a fun way to repurpose Easter eggs (after all the jellybeans are eaten, of course!). Create a fun matching game that helps practice letter knowledge and fine motor skills.

Meet Eric Berlin

Welcome to Family Book Club! This is an exciting club for families who love to read and is appropriate for ages 8-15. The books chosen are always within the third to sixth grade level but both younger and older kids have enjoyed them! If your child is younger, I encourage the family to read the book aloud together or listen to the audiobook (if available)!

This month we are reading "The Puzzling World of Winston Breen" by Eric Berlin. This is a fun mystery, full of puzzles that you can solve along with Winston, and the prize is treasure! Below is a suggested reading schedule. Every Monday, visit this blog to help guide your reading!

Chapters 11-15
- I am not very good at solving mysteries as I am reading so I had no clue who could have been the burglar. Did you see that coming??
- How would you feel in Winston’s shoes? Would you try to trick Dilmer somehow?
-  Winston grabs Dilmer’s cell phone and it is not like cell phones today. Here is a picture of what it looked like:

- What did you think of the book?

This month's options were HEROES WITH TITLES vs. HATE TO LOVE and the winner, in a landslide, was…HATE TO LOVE!

Check out three of Tessy’s recommendations of love stories that didn’t quite start out with love! Links for each title below.

TELL US in the comments – what’s your favorite enemies to lovers book?
And let us know if you plan to check out any of these titles!
