Officers arrived on scene and found the driver, and only occupant, suffering from life-threatening injuries. The man was transported to the hospital but sadly, he died from his injuries.

The identity of the deceased driver will be released by the Adams County Coroner's Office once next of kin have been notified.

The Aurora Police Department Traffic Investigation responded to the scene and closed East Montview and Fitzsimons for several hours so they could collect evidence, photograph the scene, and take necessary measurements.
