(July 12) On July 12, 2022 at about 10:15 a.m. Aurora Police Officers were notified of a shooting that occurred near 181 North Fulton Street. Officers found an adult male with grievous injuries. He was transported to the hospital but sadly, succumbed to his wounds and was pronounced deceased.

Investigators from the Major Crimes Homicide Unit (MCHU) responded to the scene and worked with officers to locate evidence and interview witnesses. An adult female, who remained on scene and was cooperative with the investigation, was identified as being involved in the incident. There is no known relationship between the male and female. Investigators are working closely with the 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office to determine if what, if any charges are appropriate. This case is still open and active so we are not releasing the female’s information at this time.

The Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased victim once he is positively identified and next of kin has been notified.

If you have any information about this shooting, please contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720.913.7867. Tipsters could be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000 and may remain anonymous.
