The Aurora Police News Blog was created in 2016 as a new way to share news and information from the Aurora Police Department with the community we serve. It is maintained by the staff of the Media Relations Unit.

On Sunday June 30, 2019 at 6:04 p.m. Aurora Police Officers responded to 965 South Ivory Circle on reports of a stabbing.

Upon officers arrival they located an adult male victim who was stabbed. The victim was then transported to an area hospital where he tragically succumbed to his injuries on Monday July 1, 2019 at approximately 2:50 a.m.

Positive identification of the victim, and notification of the next-of-kin will be done by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.
An adult has since been arrested. Due to the ongoing investigational efforts, the identity of the arrestee will be released at a later time. All further media inquires related to this arrest should be directed to the 18th Judicial District Attorney's Office.

This is now being investigated by the Aurora Police Major Crimes/Homicide Unit. We ask anyone who may be a witness, or has information about this homicide, to please call Aurora Police Agent Szuch at 303-739-6068. Tipsters can also remain anonymous, and be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000 by contacting Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at (720) 913- STOP (7867).
