On Friday October 6, 2017 at approximately 5:00 P.M., Aurora Police Officers responded to a residence located in the 1200 block of S. Fultondale Cir. to check the welfare of a party.

Upon arrival, the responding Officers heard a single gunshot come from inside the residence that they had been dispatched to.  Out of an abundance of caution and for the safety of Officers on scene, additional resources were requested to the scene to include members of Aurora’s Strategic Response Team (SRT).  From this point, SRT Officers began to systematically check the residence.  Ultimately, two deceased adults were located inside the residence.

The Aurora Police Department Major Crimes/Homicide Unit is investigating this incident to determine exactly what occurred.  At this time, the Aurora Police Department does not believe that any circumstances pose a danger to the public at large.

The identity of the victims will be released by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office pending the positive identification of the victims and the notification of their next of kin.

This investigation remains open and is very active.  The Aurora Police Department is asking anyone with information about this incident to contact Detective Alton Reed with the Major Crimes/Homicide Unit at (303) 739-6068.  Tipsters can also remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000 by contacting Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at (720) 913-7867.
