When they arrived, Officers discovered this crash involved a motorcycle and a Cadillac Escalade  The driver of the motorcycle, an adult male, was lying in the roadway and was pronounced on scene after they were evaluated by Aurora Fire Rescue.  The driver, also an adult male, of the Cadillac remained on scene and was cooperative with the investigation.

The Aurora Police Traffic Section is conducting the investigation into this fatal crash. It is unknown at this time if speed or alcohol were a contributing factor. No arrests have been made and this case remains an open and active investigation. Anyone who may have witnessed this collision is asked to call the Traffic Investigations Unit.

Parts of the intersection were closed for several hours while investigators completed their on-scene investigation.

Colfax Ave.  The incident was reported to police a few days later on March 29, 2022 and detectives from the Crimes Against Children Unit immediately began investigating the incident once reported.  During this incident, it is alleged that an adult male suspect had inappropriate sexual contact with a juvenile in a public restroom.  The suspect is described as being a light skinned black male, with a thin build, approximately 5’9” in height, with short hair. He is reported to have a forearm tattoo that states either “Thug Life” or “Young Life.”  Since reported, this has been an active investigation and therefore further specific details cannot be released at this time.  During the investigation, detectives learned that a similar incident occurred in November of 2021, but this incident was never reported to police.
