Residents of Aurora are invited to celebrate National Night Out (NNO) with the Aurora Police Department and the rest of the country on Tuesday, August the 2nd. NNO is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. The goal of the campaign is to make Aurora a safer place.

The Police Area Representative Team for District 2, which serves northeast Aurora has announced the District's plans for the evening. There will be a series of parties at several locations throughout the District from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m.

NNO party locations:

Landon Park Apartments, 100 S. Sable Blvd.
Brookvale Neighborhood, 1300 S. Laredo Ct.
Murphy Creek Recreation Center, 23801 E. Florida Ave.
The Preserve at City Center, 1098 S. Evanston Way.

The Asian Pacific Development Center will also be holding a National Night Out Event on August 2nd at 5:00p.m.  The party gives attendees the opportunity to experience other cultures, meet Aurora Police Officers, have fun with friends and enjoy some great food. The ASPD Center is located 1537 Alton Street.

NNO is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. The goal of the campaign is to make Aurora a safer place.

The Police Area Representative Teams for District 1, which serves West Aurora (areas west of I-225) has announced the District's plans for the evening. The District will be hosting a community gathering at Utah Park (1800 S. Peoria St.) on the northeast corner of the park. The event will include a static display of APD Units and Equipment, food, door prizes and a safety village for children. The event starts at 6:00p.m. and goes to 8:00p.m.

A caravan of police officers and department vehicles will be traveling to and visiting NNO events throughout the District.  Below is a list of their scheduled stops.

4:00p.m.     Target Store, 7400 S. Gartrell Rd.
5:30p.m.     Eastern Hills Community Church, 25511 E. Smoky Hill Rd.
5:40p.m.     Sagebrush Park, 4744 S. Evanston Way.
6:15p.m.     Summit Park Townhomes, 4245 S. Fraser St.
6:20p.m.     Frontier Elementary School, 3200 S. Jericho Way.
6;55p.m.     Mission Viejo Park, 3999 S. Mission Pkwy.
7:00p.m.     Lake Shore, S. Zeno St. & E. Wesley Pl.
7:35p.m.     Tierra Park, 14793 E. Asbury Ave. & Peace with Christ Church, 3290 S. Tower Rd
Officers will spend about 30 minutes at each event. Times are subject to change.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. The goal of the campaign is to make Aurora a safer place.

APD will be visiting from 5:05 p.m. to 5:35 p.m.

APD will be visiting from 5:40 p.m. to 6:10 p.m.

Highland Point Apartments, 16893 E Arkansas Ave.
APD will be visiting from 6:15 p.m. to 6:35 p.m.

Murphy Creek, 23945 E Florida Ave.
APD will be on scene from 6:45 p.m. to 7:10 p.m.
