On April 12, 2019, at 3:33 a.m. Aurora Police Officers responded to the 1500 block of South Sable Boulevard on a report of shots fired inside the residence.
Upon officers arriving they found two deceased people inside. Through the initial investigation it was determined the deceased were known to each other.
The investigation is being conducted by APD’s Major Crimes/Homicide Unit. If citizens have any information they can call Agent Hansen at 303-739-6710.
The Aurora Police Department is not looking for suspects and there is no threat to the public.
The Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office will determine cause of death and will release names of the deceased after notification of the next of kin.

On March 18, 2019 at 11:38 a.m. Aurora Police Officers responded to the Sable Technological Center located at 562 Sable Boulevard on reported gunfire in the area. Upon officers arrival they located a victim lying on the ground in the parking lot suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim, a juvenile male, was transported to an area hospital where tragically he succumbed to his wounds.
The Aurora Police Department (APD) Major Crimes Homicide Unit, Fugitive Apprehension and Surveillance Team, APD K-9 Unit, APD SWAT, and the Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force were among those who worked tirelessly for nearly 31hours which led to the arrest of a juvenile male in this homicide. The arrest occurred on March 19th at approximately 7:00 p.m. in the 15000 block of East Evans Avenue without further incident.
Due to this suspect and victim both being juveniles in this active investigation, no further details will be released by APD at this time. All further media inquires from this date forward should be directed to the 18th Judicial District Attorney's Office, where this case will be prosecuted.

On March 13, 2019 the Aurora Police Major Crime Homicide Unit began investigating the circumstances surrounding a body found along the Sand Creek Trail in the midst of a historic blizzard dubbed Bomb Cyclone Ulmer by weather officials.
Since then, that body has been positively identified as Martin Galdamez-Galdamez DOB 7/25/1994, and is now being investigated as a homicide. At this time there are no additional details available.

Information Previously Released March 14, 2019:
On March 13, 2019, about 1:55 PM, people were walking in the 2700 block of Sand Creek, a section that parallels East Fitzsimons Parkway, just east of the Light Rail parking lot.
The people were looking for a runaway dog and found what appeared to be a human body. The Aurora Police Department responded to the scene and confirmed it was a human body. The body was not removed until this afternoon due to the extreme weather conditions from the day before. The cause of death has not been determined and will be done by the Adams County Coroner’s Office.

On March 6, 2019 the Aurora Police Department responded to the Aurora Town Center at 14200 East Alameda Avenue on a report of a person stumbling around in the parking lot.
Upon officers arriving they contacted the person, determined the person was 16 years of age and that the juvenile had been shot. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital and taken to surgery where the juvenile succumbed to the injuries.
Identification of the victim and notification of the next of kin will be done by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.
As part of an active investigation the Aurora Police Major Crimes/Homicide Detectives will work to determine what led up to the shooting. At this time, there are no suspects in custody. On January 30, 2019, at approximately 12:21 A.M. Aurora Police Department officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of North Kingston Street on a report of a shooting. When the officers arrived they located a male victim laying on the sidewalk. The male was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

The Aurora Police Department is announcing an arrest in the homicide that left one person dead on October 31, 2018 near North Billings Street and East Montview Boulevard.
A 15-year-old male was arrested last night on October 31, 2018 for the charge of First Degree Murder. The male’s identity and photograph cannot be released because of his status as a juvenile.
The criminal case remains open and to protect the integrity of that investigation, no further information is available at this time. The prosecution of the case is now in the hands of the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office. Further media inquiries should be referred to their office.

Information Previously Released on October 31, 2018
On October 31, 2018, at approximately 11:14 A.M., Aurora Police Department responded to the area of North Billings Street and East Montview Boulevard on a report of shots fired in the area. The reporting party was a deputy from the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, who was in the area conducting an unrelated investigation. Assistance from the Aurora Police Department was immediately requested.
Officers quickly arrived and found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers administered lifesaving measures and the adult male victim was then rushed to a nearby hospital by ambulance where he was pronounced deceased. The deceased victim will be identified at a later date by the Adams County Coroner’s Office, pending notification of next of kin.
For a short period of time, Sable Elementary was on a secure perimeter which has since been lifted. Residents in the area also received a reverse 911 call telling them to shelter in place while officers were continuing to search the area.
Aurora Police Major Crimes/Homicide Detectives responded to the scene along with additional police resources. As part of the on-going investigation, detectives will work to determine what led up to the shooting. At this time, there are no suspects in custody. Aurora Police investigators are still seeking information related to the homicide that occurred on September 28, 2016 at approximately 8:09 p.m. at 2072 North Iola Street.
Tragically on this date Miguel Freyre-Vieweg DOB 9/27/94 was gunned down. Despite all investigative efforts, and following up on all leads, this homicide remains unsolved.

On Wednesday September 28th, 2016 around 8:09 p.m. officers responded to 2072 North Iola Street in the Boston Heights neighborhood on a report of an injury with a weapon call.
Upon officers arrival they located an adult male who was identified as Miguel Freyre-Vieweg DOB 9/27/94 with injuries to his head. Officers were unable to confirm the cause of his injuries at that time. Miguel was transported to a local hospital where further examination revealed Miguel had been shot in the head. Miguel succumbed to his injuries three days later on Saturday October 1, 2016.
Detectives and investigators from the Major Crimes/Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Investigations Unit have taken over the investigation and are asking for your help in identifying who is responsible for Miguel's murder. On Friday September 14, 2018 at approximately 11:15 a.m. Aurora Police Officers responded to a welfare check at a residence in the 300 block of North Potomac Street.
Upon officer's arrival, an adult male and an adult female were located deceased inside the residence. No other parties were present at the scene. The relationship between the two individuals is not known. The Aurora Police Department is not looking for any suspects related to this incident.

On the afternoon of September 2, 2018, at approximately 1:38 p.m., officers with the Aurora Police Department responded to the area of East Alameda Avenue and South Potomac Street on the report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers were able to determine that the shooting had occurred outside of a nearby 7-11, located at 13690 East Alameda Avenue. Officers responded to a local hospital after learning that several victims had made their way to the hospital for treatment of apparent gunshot wounds. One of the victims has been pronounced deceased at the hospital.
