For storm related tree limb drop off, the Parks, Recreation & Open Space department has opened a drop-off site - daily through May 1 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Lowry Park, 1001 Dayton St. Only storm damage/tree limbs will be accepted (no other debris or trash). Punkin Chunkin Colorado is a two-day event where people travel for miles to see how far they can lob a gourd.
The 2016 event will mark the 19th year for this zany activity that engages the energy and ingenuity of youth and adults, while inspiring a fresh twist of creativity. Please note...no pets are allowed at Punkin Chunkin Colorado. In addition to the competition, the event offers an exciting fall festival complete with family activities, pumpkin patch, fall market, food vendors and a beer garden!

We are looking for volunteers to help with various positions such as our welcome booth, arts & crafts, pumpkin patch and pony rides.
