Continuous Children's Dance Program
Continuous classes begin at the end of August and run through the beginning of June. Students must register by Dec. 1 to participate in these classes. Registration for Fall 2015 begins July 27th. Aurora Dance Arts is proud to present our 2015 production of Fairytales from Around the World! This exciting dance production will be taking place on November 6th at 7:00 p.m. and on November 7th & 8th at 2:00 p.m. All performances are held in the Aurora Fox Arts Center. Tickets are now on sale for this family-friendly, fun, and educational dance spectacular! Tickets cost $8 apiece and can be purchased either by calling the Aurora Fox Box Office at 303-739-1970 or online by following the link below. Family Four Packs are also available for $28 and can be reserved by calling the Aurora Fox Box Office. Congratulations to the Cast of Fairytales from Around the World-2015
We are proud to announce the official casting for Aurora Dance Arts’ 2015 production of Fairytales from Around the World! Please see the Official Cast List for details. Thank you to everyone that auditioned for this production this year. We are so proud of each and every dancer who had the courage to try out, both those that were and were not named as part of the cast. Auditioning for productions is absolutely essential to a dancer’s journey through their training. So we hope that this audition was a positive, learning experience for all that took part, and we encourage all dancers to continue working hard and growing in their dance technique and performance skills in all of their dance classes.
If you were cast in this year’s production…
All dancers or parents of dancers will need to call the Aurora Dance Arts Office at 303-326-8308 or e-mail the Director at email@example.com by Tuesday, August 18, 2015 to either accept or decline the part/s in which they have been cast. A $40 Performance Fee is required of all participants in this production and is due to be paid no later than September 30, 2015. The Performance Fee can be paid by either calling or coming into the Dance Office. The rehearsal and performance schedule for Fairytales from Around the World will be posted shortly, no later than Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 5pm. Please review the rehearsal and performance schedule thoroughly before accepting the parts that have been cast. Dancers in Fairytales from Around the World are required to attend all rehearsals and performances as specified in the rehearsal and performance schedule. There are absolutely NO UNEXCUSED ABSENCES from rehearsals, and you must be excused from rehearsals, either by the Director or the choreographer of the fairytale in which you are cast, in order to miss a rehearsal. There are absolutely NO ABSENCES from any performances. Rehearsals will commence on either the weekend of August 21-23 or the weekend of August 28-30, depending on which fairytales in which you have been cast, and please see the rehearsal schedule for specific details. If you have any further questions regarding casting and/or the rehearsal schedule, please call the Dance Office or e-mail the Director. You’re Invited to Aurora Dance Arts’ 4th Annual Fall Break Bash!
Aurora Dance Arts is excited to invite all current dance students in our program and their families to our 4th Annual Fall Break Bash! This spooktacular, family-friendly event will be held on Friday, October 23rd from 6:00-8:30pm in Beck Recreation Center (800 Telluride Street, Aurora, 80011). This event is Autumn and Halloween-themed and is a wonderful opportunity for dance students, their families, and the ADA teachers and staff to mingle and celebrate the season outside of our weekly dance classes. This party is a free event and is open to all dancers and parents and siblings of dancers in our ADA program. This is a Halloween-themed event, but if you do not celebrate Halloween, you are still more than welcome to attend.
There will be food, drinks, games, prizes, a dance performance, a costume contest, and more! Everyone is encouraged to wear their Halloween costume, if they have one (adults too!), and there will be prizes for the best costumes. The Aurora Dance Arts (ADA) has won the 2013 Aurora Macaroni Kid Family Choice award for Best Dance Classes! ADA received the notification we were one of the top two dance studios in Aurora nominated in this category. We are excited to be honored by our patrons with this award, and want to say thank you to everyone who voted for us.
Child and adult dance classes are available for five-to-eight-week sessions in the Aurora Recreation Guide published quarterly. Registration is ongoing. Please visit our online catalog or call the Dance Office at 303-326-8308 for more information. Adult classes in ballroom, jazz, tap, hip-hop, belly dance, musical theater, country western line dance and other styles offer a fun, creative workout in a social setting. Summer camps for youth also are scheduled annually.
