Trash & Recycling

Keep Aurora Clean
Learn about waste disposal resources and how you can help keep Aurora clean.

Recycling Opportunities
Aurora offers many opportunities for recycling through special events, partnerships with private recycling companies and trash companies. From electronics to paper, from medical waste to cleaning up our canals and waterways, Aurora is committed to a healthy environment.
Trash Collection
Residential trash pick up is not a city-provided service. It is the responsibility of individual residents or homes associations to arrange for service with one of the city's permitted trash haulers.

Tree Recycling
Residents who want to turn their tree trimmings into mulch should contact their local trash hauling company. The Forestry Division does take part in Christmas Tree Recycling each year.
