Online Accident Reporting

The Aurora Police Department is pleased to offer online accident reporting for accidents:
  • that occurred within the city of Aurora
  • that are non-injury vehicle accidents (including hit-and-run vehicle accidents)
  • where there has been no alcohol or drug use by the involved drivers
  • where damage less than $1,000
These criteria must be met in order to use the online system.


This reporting system is for non-emergency incidents. No officer will respond.

If you have an emergency dial 9-1-1.

You will be able to purchase a copy of the official report in about 14 days if your report is approved. Reports that do not comply with bullets above will be deleted from the system. This report is primarily used for information or insurance reporting.

False Statement

Any person who knowingly provides or causes to be transmitted false information on a report to law enforcement authorities, whether regarding the incident or identity information of the parties involved, commits a third degree misdemeanor punishable by fines and will be prosecuted.
