City Manager Ron Miller Named Citizen of the Year

The Aurora Civitan Club recently presented their “Citizen of the Year” award to Aurora City Manager Ron Miller. This award is given to an individual who has shown tremendous leadership in promoting community service.

Civitan members dedicate themselves to building good citizenship by providing a volunteer organization of clubs dedicated to serving individual and community needs, with an emphasis on helping people with developmental disabilities. The Aurora Civitan Club participates in several local fundraising events such as the 9news Health Fair, Ronald McDonald House, Highline Canal Cleanup, and Special Olympics.

Famous Civitans have come from all walks and positions in life such as U.S. Presidents, Supreme Court justices, famous military generals, entertainers and sports celebrities. Membership in Civitan is open to anyone who is at least 18 years old and of good character.
