Arapahoe County is holding a series of open houses to gather input on the county's open space program, and is asking for public input.
The information gathered at these meetings will help direct the development of Arapahoe County's Open Space Master Plan, a long-term guide that outlines the future of the county's parks, trails and open spaces.
The meetings are scheduled as follows:
Open House 1: Oct. 6, 4 to 8 p.m., South Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce, 6840 S. University Blvd., Centennial
Learn about the Master Plan process and share your thoughts on open space, parks and trail needs.
Open House 2: Nov. 19, 4 to 8 p.m., Byers High School, 444 E. Front St., Byers
Review and discuss the Draft Master Plan
Open House 3: March 2010, date and location to be determined
Review and discuss the Revised Draft Master Plan. This is the last public meeting before final recommendations are presented.
For those who cannot attend an open house, feedback also is being accepted at www.greenways.com/arapahoe.
For special accommodations at the meetings, call five business days prior to the meeting.
